15 Coins Review
There are basically two ways to make a slot series. You can pile on new installments that are similar, but with different tweaks and additions per installment, or you can make many different versions of the same game. The Coins series from Wazdan does a bit of both. 15 Coins™ follows closely in the footsteps of the predecessor, 12 Coins™, but the grid has been increased from 4x3 to 5x3 in this game. Visually, it’s more or less the same game, and most of the features are the same as well.
Since you cannot win anything in the base game (except the Hold the Jackpot Bonus, of course), the Chance Level ante bet feature is a welcome addition. It gives you 3 options which can increase your Hold the Jackpot Bonus chances by up to 5x, and you can also choose pace and volatility from 3 options as usual. The Hold the Jackpot feature comes with plenty of special symbols that will benefit you, and filling the grid cracks the 1,000x potential.
15 Coins™ Slot - Reels Screen15 Coins™ Slot Features
The Chance Level ante bet feature is turned off by default, but you can choose between 3 settings between base game spins.
Quite simply, you need to pay 2x, 3x, or 5x your stake to get a 2x, 3x, or 5x higher Hold the Jackpot Bonus chance, respectively. You cannot win anything in the base game, and you need to fill the middle row with a mix of bonus symbols of any kind to trigger the bonus round.Similar Slots:
The Cash Infinity symbol can help you out in that regard, but only if it appears on the middle row. It comes with a cash prize value between 5x and 10x your stake, and it remains sticky until its prize is added to your total win in the next bonus round. It remains sticky on any position in the base game, but you need it on the middle row to help trigger the feature.
The Hold the Jackpot Bonus Round triggers when the middle row is filled with any kind of bonus symbols, and the triggering symbols (plus any sticky Cash to Infinity symbols) become sticky on an otherwise cleared grid. You start with 3 respins, and the tally resets for each new bonus symbol you land.
All bonus symbols that appear in the feature become sticky as well.Regular cash bonus symbols come with cash prizes between 1x and 5x your stake, while the Mini, Minor, and Major jackpot symbols come with prizes of 10x, 20x, and 50x your stake, respectively. The Accumulator Symbol collects all prize values from cash and cash to infinity symbols, and the total is then boosted by a random multiplier between x1 and x20.
You can also land Mystery Symbols and Jackpot Mystery symbols. The regular Mystery Symbol turns into a random bonus symbol at the end of the feature (it cannot turn into the cash to infinity symbol, however). The Jackpot Mystery symbol turns into one of the 3 jackpot symbols mentioned above.
If you manage to fill all 15 positions with any kind of symbol, the 1,000x Grand Jackpot is awarded. If not, the sum total of your winnings are awarded as the bonus round ends. This happens when you run out of respins without having filled all 15 positions with symbols.
Finally, the Bonus Buy menu is available in some jurisdictions, but not in the UK for sure. It comes with the following 5 bonus buy options:
- Low volatility - for 50x the stake you get 4 triggering cash coins and 1 cash to infinity symbol.
- Standard volatility - for 75x the stake you get 3 triggering cash coins, 1 cash to infinity symbol, as well as 1 mystery symbol.
- High volatility - for 100x the stake you get 3 triggering cash coins, 2 cash to infinity symbols, as well as 1 mystery symbol.
- Extreme volatility - for 150x the stake you get 5 cash to infinity symbols, plus a mystery and a mystery jackpot symbol.
- Double Extreme volatility - for 300x the stake you get 5 cash to infinity symbols, 2 regular mystery symbols, and 1 jackpot mystery symbol.

Review Summary
We still have 12 Coins™ relatively fresh in mind, and we have to say that we had our hopes up for an even more beefed up version this time.
15 Coins™ is a very similar game, but you now get 5 reels instead of 4. It all started with the 3-reels 9 Coins™ release, of which there are several different editions. It seems pretty clear by now that Wazdan plans to make a longer series out of this, and it makes us wonder how many coins we may get if this continues.Anyway, if you enjoyed the previous installment, you will probably like what’s on offer in 15 Coins™ as well. It sort of makes the previous installments obsolete in a way, since you get the same features but with a larger grid, the chance level system, and a larger max win. Speaking of, the 1,000x potential isn’t exactly massive, and the 9 Coins™ Grand Gold Edition offers 1,500x your stake in comparison. It seems that Wazdan is planning several editions of each installment, so time will tell what may be the best option for players to choose from.
Pros
- Choose volatility and pace from 3 settings
- Choose between 3 different ante bet levels
- Hold the Jackpot feature w/ modifier symbols
- Fill the grid in the feature to win 1,000x
Cons
- No base game winnings
- Very similar to 12 Coins™
